We believe that financial constraints should not hinder students from realizing their full potential and pursuing their academic dreams. Here, you'll find details on the scholarships we offer, designed to address a variety of student needs and ambitions.

The Non-Traditional Student Scholarship 

The Senate of College Councils will be awarding two scholarships to non-traditional students this year. 

Applications will open Monday, September 23rd, 2024 and close Sunday, October 6th, at 11:00pm CST. The application can be accessed through https://deanofstudents.utexas.edu/secure/lso/senatentsscholarship.php.

A non-traditional student includes one or more of the following:
  • A first-generation student
  • An international student
  • An external transfer student
  • A veteran
  • A student who is a parent
  • A student over the age of 25 pursuing their first bachelor’s degree
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must also have attended UT Austin for at least two long semesters and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications will be reviewed on a merit basis. 

Other Scholarships

The Study Abroad Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to assist up to three recipients in a UT-affiliated study abroad program.

The Academic Improvement Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to reward students who have shown significant improvement in academic performance and GPA.

The Undergraduate Research Scholarship

This scholarship is available to all full-time undergraduate students pursuing research on campus, whether it is professor-led or independent.

The William C. Powers Jr. Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship aims to recognize outstanding student leaders contributing to the UT community.
